What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is pleasant and natural state of mind that we all experience daily. It is an altered state of consciousness. For instance doing your favourite activity, listening to music, watching TV and daydreaming. During hypnosis, the subconscious mind is more open and responsive. The success in hypnosis lies in communication with the subconscious mind. Because the subconscious mind does not analyse or judge positive changes can take place rapidly and naturally.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is using hypnosis to bring about positive changes. A hypnotherapist uses techniques to communicate with the subconscious mind in a two-way fashion. It is a client-centered approach that harnesses the power of a deeper mind, help to change internal dialog and emotions and thus directly influence the behaviour and attitudes.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Most of the people with a few exceptions. To enter trance state you need to follow simple suggestions. Level of trance will vary from person to person.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis is personal subjective experience. Generally, people experience feelings of relaxation, feeling of floating, expansion, heaviness. You may even wonder if you’ve actually been in hypnosis. Some report time distortion, which means you may think you’ve been in hypnosis for a short time, while for instance 30 minutes have passed.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on the nature of a problem. Some issues may require one or two session while others can take longer. This will be discussed during first session and the progress will be reviewed during any further appointments. The progress depends also on your commitment to achieve desired change. You will receive a CD to listen between the sessions. This will reinforce the whole therapy. You will be treated in the minimum number of sessions possible.
